​Competitive Play for Northern Chautauqua County

 

Concord Futbol Club (CFC) is the competitive travel branch of the Northern Chautauqua Soccer Association (NCSA). Our mission is to provide a high-quality developmental experience in which youth athletes can learn, develop, and demonstrate life skills through the beautiful game.

Being part of CFC is a demanding but rewarding responsibility. Our players represent their parents, coaches, and the entire Dunkirk-Fredonia community as they compete against clubs across Western New York.

How to Join a Travel Team

To ensure players are placed in an environment where they can succeed, all athletes must participate in our evaluation process:

  • Try-outs: All prospective players are required to attend a comprehensive two-week evaluation period held during the first two weeks of our training season.

  • Placement: Coaches use this time to assess technical skills and tactical awareness.

  • Exceptions: Roster spots are filled based on try-out performance. If spots remain, coaches may add players at their discretion based on prior knowledge of the athlete's play or professional coaching references.

  • Finality: All coaching and club placement decisions are final.

 

League Play

CFC competes in the Buffalo & Western New York Junior Soccer League (BWNYJSL), the premier venue for youth travel soccer in the Buffalo-Niagara Region.

  • Age Groups: U10 through U19.

  • Season Timeline: Games typically begin after April 23rd and conclude by August 10th.

  • Travel Scope: Home games are played locally in the Dunkirk/Fredonia area. Away games involve travel to communities such as Hamburg, Orchard Park, Clarence, Amherst, and Niagara Falls.

Typical Game Schedule

Note: Schedules are determined by the BWNYJSL and are subject to change annually. Most games begin at 6:45 PM, with players expected at the field by 6:00 PM for warm-ups.
